In 2011, Faber-Castell celebrated its 250th anniversary as the oldest, largest producer of quality writing implements. The company wished to communicate its jubilee to an international audience and promptly sent its exhibition on a journey around the world.
CB.e developed a linear exhibition of three-dimensionally designed images. Under the tagline “A creative journey through time”, it granted insights into the family-owned business, which dates back to 1761. We combined large-format picture frames featuring spatial, themed designs with glass cabinets to showcase the history and product portfolio of the traditional company.
The exhibition was designed as a modular pop-up largely made of cardboard elements. This saved a great deal of material, weight and expenses. It also made the installation of the exhibition easy – those responsible on site could simply do it themselves.
